Featured Materials

Beech wood is renowned for its high density. It’s a hard-wearing timber that can bear heavy weight. The fine grain looks great with a range of finishes, so it can be customised easily.

Unique beauty

Beech is a natural material. Made by Mother Nature herself. Every grain is different, which means each piece is one-of-a-kind. The colour is a light white to pinkish hue that works well with or without a stain.

Strong yet flexible

Strong yet flexible

Tough and shock-resistant, Beech also has superior bending abilities making it suitable for furniture with curves. We’ve used it for a lot of our products’ frames and carved legs. It chips less than other timbers and can take a lot of pressure over periods of time.

Close grain

The tight grain gives Beech an exceptionally smooth surface that’s perfect for lacquering. It has a natural lustre, and is odourless and incredibly strong.

“Beech is a non-porous timber with a smooth texture. It is strong yet flexible, allowing us to create beautiful carved detailing.”

Care guide

Care guide

Keep Beech furniture in a cool, shady spot. Too much heat or sunlight can dry out the wood. Clean up any spillages as soon as possible. An occasional wipe down with a clean, dry cloth will have it looking good as new.

Beech trees are found in mixed woodland and low mountainous regions. They come from deciduous trees, which means they shed their leaves seasonally. Our Beech wood is primarily imported from New Zealand.
